Native Mode Spooler Reference Manual
Storing and restoring spool files
You may use the STORE and RESTORE commands to store spool files to tape
and to restore them to your system. It is recommended that you use these
commands to move spool files from one system to another so long as both
systems have the native mode spooler. For information on transferring
spool files to or from an unlike environment (such as compatibility mode
or a classic HP/3000) refer to the SPFXFER utility described elsewhere in
this chapter and to chapter 6.
Storing all output spool files
If you have SM or OP capability, to store all output spool files to tape,
enter:
FILE T;DEV=TAPE
STORE @.OUT.HPSPOOL;*T;SHOW
The ;SHOW parameter produces a listing of files stored. You may enter
;SHOW=OFFLINE for an offline listing.
Restoring all output spool files
If you have SM or OP capability, to restore all output spool files to
your system, enter:
FILE T;DEV=TAPE
RESTORE *T;@.OUT.HPSPOOL;SHOW
NOTE Input spool files are private and private (both input and output)
spool files may not be stored. Because input spool files are used
and managed by the system, there is seldom any reason to store them
to tape or move them to another system.
Refer to chapter 7 for more information about STORE and RESTORE.
