Chapter 2 Getting Started with HP Link Editor/XL This chapter presents simple examples of the basic ways to use HP Link Editor/XL. The link editor commands are not discussed in detail. Rather, the intent is to give you a quick overview of how to use them to accomplish some common tasks. Chapters 3 through 6 give additional information about the commands that appear in this chapter. The examples in this chapter show how to do the following: * Link one relocatable object file. * Link several relocatable object files. * Use relocatable libraries. * Use executable libraries. * Use both relocatable and executable libraries within a program.
