Appendix D  Programming Examples 

Overview 

This appendix contains three program examples, in Pascal/XL, COBOL II/XL,
and FORTRAN 77/XL, respectively.  Each example is designed to accomplish
the same set of tasks and calls the same System Dictionary Intrinsics.

A fourth example, written in SPL, and also using the same set of
intrinsics to accomplish the same set of tasks, is located in Appendix C
of this manual.


NOTE  If you have not already done so, read the information about linking
      programs and increasing program efficiency in Chapter 2 of this
      manual.
