Chapter 2  Using Character Mode I/O 

The next logical step in learning about Transact is to look at how to
maintain Image datasets.  This section therefore considers the three
types of maintenance:  adding data, changing data, and deleting data.

As the programs that we examine develop in capability, we will also look
at some of the useful features of Transact, like the many ways to loop,
or repeat, activity, and command mode, which lets the user control
program flow.
