Installing and Configuring HP X.400 Administrator's Guide

Configuration Checklist 

To configure HP X.400, you must perform the following steps:

   1.  Verify NS/9000 is installed, configured, and tested if you are
       using HP X.400 with HP Desk. 

   2.  Verify ARPA Services/9000 is installed, configured, and tested if
       you are using the Sendmail connection. 

   3.  Verify the LAN/Link (802.3) is installed, configured, and tested
       if you are using LAN.

   4.  Verify X.25is installed, configured, and tested if you are using
       X.25.

   5.  Verify FDDIis installed, configured, and tested if you are using
       FDDI.

   6.  Verify the OSITransport Services software is installed,
       configured, and tested.

   7.  Draw a network map of your X.400 network.

   8.  Fill out the configuration worksheets.

   9.  Run  x4admin (or osiadmin) to configure X.400 with the information
       provided on your network map and configuration worksheets.

steps 1-5.  This manual describes step 6 (this chapter), step 7 (this
chapter and Appendix A) and step 8 (this chapter and Chapters 5 - 9).
