Running NMMGRVER
To run NMMGRVER, logon as MANAGER.SYS in the PUB group and run the
utility by entering NMMGRVER after the MPE/iX prompt. NMMGRVER will
prompt you for the configuration file name. Enter NMCONFIG, and Y to the
confirmation prompt.

NMMGRVER generates a backup copy of you old configuration file under file
name NMBACKn, (where n starts with A, then B, C, and so on, for multiple
backup copies). It also creates a temporary file Nxxxx, that is purged
upon completion of NMMGRVER conversion.
After converting the network configuration file with NMMGRVER, you then
run NMMGR if needed to modify the DTS subsystem to fit your actual
hardware configuration. Follow the steps described in chapter 5 for
modifying you network configuration file.
NOTE After converting your network configuration file with NMMGRVER, you
must validate and cross-validate NMCONFIG.PUB.SYS inside NMMGR and
reboot you HP 3000 system. Refer to chapter 5 for details on these
steps.
