Additional Network Configuration Examples
If you are adding another LAN card or are adding and configuring a
token-ring network in addition to your first network, follow the
instructions provided below for adding a network. Refer to Chapter 2 and
the File Server Worksheet for information on the add a network
parameters.
Add a Token-Ring Network
You can add a token-ringdd network as follows:
1. From the Main menu in SCONSOLE, select Configuration (item 2).
2. The Configuration menu is displayed. Select Transport
Configuration (item 1).
3. The Transport Configuration Menu is displayed. Select Add A
Network (item 4).
4. The Add a Network screen is displayed. You are prompted to enter
each parameter value.
Press <Enter> after each item is entered to move to the next
field.If you also have an Ethernet LAN network, make sure this
number is different than the Ethernet LAN network number. Press
<Enter> after each item is entered to move to the next field.
The device name is a file which must already exist (see "Device
Name" for filename). See Chapter 2 for information on the
external network number and frame type parameters.

After you enter the last parameter, the message:

5. Press <Escape> to return to the Transport Configuration Menu.
6. To save your configuration and exit, type e at the Request prompt.
7. If you do not already have token-ring NetWare clients, you must
configure them to support token-ring if the clients are on a
token-ring segment. Refer to the Novell NetWare Workstation for
DOS manual for more information.
8. If you are finished updating network configurations, go to the
section, Activate Configuration Changes.
Adding Another LAN Card
When you add another LAN card to your system, you must configure another
network for NetWare/iX using the SCONSOLE "Add a Network" function.
The table below shows an example with the first LAN using the defaults
and the second LAN using a network number of 00000003:

Activate Configuration Changes
To activate any configuration changes you have made, NetWare must be
stopped (if running), and restarted as described in Chapter 3, Start and
Stop NetWare.
