Configure the File Server Using Quick Configuration
If you want to change the default configuration for the NetWare file
server follow the instructions below. Once you change the configuration,
you must restart NetWare in order for the changes to take effect.
1. Make sure you have the File Server Worksheet with the changes you
want to make for the configuration.
2. Log into the MPE system:
:hello manager.sys,netware
3. Run the NetWare system administration program:
:run sconsole
The Main menu for SCONSOLE is displayed.
4. At the select prompt, enter 1 for Quick Configuration, then press
the <Enter> (or <Return>) key.
5. The Quick Config Parameters screen is displayed. Figure 2-5
shows the default values. Make your configuration changes as
noted on your File Server Worksheet.
6. Save your changes by pressing <Enter> at the request prompt, then
when prompted, type y (for yes) to save your changes.
7. Exit SCONSOLE by typing e. Go to the section, Activate
Configuration Changes in this chapter.

Field Descriptions:
The field descriptions are shown in the Figure 2-5 .
The frame type field toggles for valid frame types. The other field
values must be typed.
The LAN #1 heading corresponds to the NetWare network number displayed
when you view your network configuration in SCONSOLE by selecting:

An example network configuration is shown in Figure 2-6 .

Modify One Network
Quick configuration can only be used to modify the first network (LAN
#1). If you have two networks configured as in the above example, only
the first one can be edited using quick configuration.
If you had two networks configured, LAN #1 and LAN #2 and you deleted the
LAN #1 network configuration, quick configuration would display LAN #2
values, and you could edit these values.
