HP C/iX Reference Manual

Listing Format

The listing consists of the following information:

   * A banner on the top of each page.

   * A line number for each source line.

   * The nesting level for each statement or declaration.

There are two styles of listing available: non-ANSI mode and ANSI mode.

Non-ANSI Mode

In non-ANSI mode, the text of the listing is the output of the
preprocessor after macro substitution with #include files inserted.

ANSI Mode

In ANSI mode, the text of the listing is the original version of the
source file before macro substitution; #include files are inserted. To
produce the non-ANSI style listing, compile with the +Lp option instead
of the +L option.

NOTE The +Lp option only has this effect when it is used in conjunction with the -Aa option.
In either mode, comments are stripped from the listing (unless the -C option is specified).
