CALL Statement 

In ANSI COBOL, the CALL statement can be used to transfer control from
one object program to another within the same run-unit.  HP COBOL II adds
the ability to invoke operating system intrinsics from within a given
object program.  For more information on the CALL statement refer to
Chapter 11 , "Interprogram Communication".
