Administrator Validation Screen 

This screen allows you to define a password for yourself as HP
ALLBASE/4GL system administrator.  You can access this screen from the
Users menu.


CAUTION If you define a password for the HP ALLBASE/4GL system administrator, make sure you keep a copy of the password in a safe place. You will not be able to access the HP ALLBASE/4GL system if you forget the password.

Field Descriptions Administrator Name. This is a display-only field showing the system defined administrator name administ. Current Password. This field is only active if you have already defined a password for the system administrator. If you want to change an existing system administrator password, enter the current password in this field. New Password. Enter your new password. Passwords can have up to eight characters and must start with an alphabetic character. Passwords can use alphabetic characters, 0 to 9, and _ (underscore). HP ALLBASE/4GL is case sensitive with respect to passwords. HP ALLBASE/4GL does not show the password on the screen as you type it in. Repeat New Password. Reenter the new password for the system administrator. If you don't reenter exactly the same password, HP ALLBASE/4GL displays an error message and returns the cursor to the New Password field. Description. Documentation fields. Enter a description about the the system administrator. HP ALLBASE/4GL automatically records the time and date of the last modification. Function Keys f2 End User Validatn Cancels the current screen and displays the end user validation screen. f3 Menu Security Cancels the current screen and displays the menu item security screen.
