Answer 1. The TRANSACT command allows you to define logically connected
groups of file modification commands that constitute one transaction.
The three arguments to this command are *BEGIN, *END, *UNDO and *MEMO.
TRANSACT *BEGIN and TRANSACT *END define the beginning and the end of the
transaction. TRANSACT *UNDO reverses all KSAM file transactions occuring
since the TRANSACT *BEGIN command, and undoes any uncommitted HP
ALLBASE/SQL transactions. TRANSACT *MEMO is used to include comments in
an HP TurboIMAGE/iX log record, and has no effect on KSAM or HP
ALLBASE/SQL transactions.
Answer 2. The following steps are involved in producing a decision
table.
1. Defining the decision table header.
2. Defining the decision table questions.
3. Defining the decision table actions.
4. Defining the decision table relationships.
5. Generating the decision table.
Answer 3. Decision tables and windows must be generated. Validation
tables and help screens do not need to be generated.
Answer 4. You can use an IF THEN ELSE command to perform different steps
of a function according to the value of the *ENTERED switch. If the
switch is on, the user has entered data in the field. If the switch is
off, the field has not been committed.
