Chapter 5 Dictionary
The HP ALLBASE/4GL dictionary is a central storage area for definitions
of a number of HP ALLBASE/4GL entities and information storage items.
Each definition or storage item is called a dictionary entry, and can be
one of the following types:
* A field specification.
* A validation item.
* A storage item.
* A record layout.
* A definition for an HP ALLBASE/SQL table, an HP TurboIMAGE/iX data
set, a serial data file, or an indexed KSAM data file.
* An HP ALLBASE/SQL select list definition.
* A message.
* A help screen.
