Developer Main Menu 


            

The developer main menu allows you to access other menus and facilities
in the HP ALLBASE/4GL developer application as described below.

Dictionary 

Selecting this option takes you to the dictionary menu.  The dictionary
menu allows you to define field specifications, validation items, data
storage items, record layouts, database items, messages, and help
screens.

Screens 

Selecting this option takes you to the screen development menu.  This
menu allows you to describe and create menus, data screens and window
screens, and to define screen fields and function keys.

Logic 

Selecting this option takes you to the logic menu.  The logic menu allows
you to define functions, processes, SQL logic blocks, and decision
tables.

Reports 

Selecting this option takes you to the reports menu.  The reports menu
allows you to describe and create reports; to define record selection,
sorting criteria, and linkages; and to define report output formats.

Module Builder 

Selecting this option displays the module builder screen.  The module
builder allows you to automatically build a file maintenance or inquiry
module.  A module consists of a user interface screen and the HP
ALLBASE/4GL logic to perform the necessary file access.

Utilities 

Selecting this option takes you to the utilities menu.  Options in the
utilities menu allow you to print, copy, or delete application
components.

Generate 

Selecting this option takes you to the application generation menu.
Options on this menu allow you to generate some or all components of the
application.  You must generate all components of an application before
you can run it.

Test 

Selecting this option lets you run your application from within the HP
ALLBASE/4GL developer.
