Reporting From an HP TurboIMAGE/iX Database When you report from an HP TurboIMAGE/iX database, HP ALLBASE/4GL accesses the database in the DM IMAGE *MODE currently set for the database. If no mode has been specified, it opens in the default *READSHAR mode. This mode should be satisfactory for most reports. If you wish to set an access mode, the DM IMAGE *MODE command must be executed before the report is executed. If you wish to change a current database access mode, the database must be closed before a second DM IMAGE *MODE command will have an effect on the mode in which HP ALLBASE/4GL accesses the database. The HP ALLBASE/4GL report generator allows you to define linkages from HP TurboIMAGE/iX data sets to KSAM data files or other HP TurboIMAGE/iX data sets. However, you cannot define linkages to SQL tables or select lists, or serial data files.
