Appendix C Operating System Environment This appendix describes the MPE/iX operating system environment established for HP ALLBASE/4GL. For the majority of installations, the default HP ALLBASE/4GL environment should not require any modification. In general, you should not make any changes to the default operating system environment for HP ALLBASE/4GL. Incorrect changes may prevent HP ALLBASE/4GL from operating correctly and may even prevent you from running the system at all. Don't change the MPE/iX environment for HP ALLBASE/4GL, unless you are fully experienced in using the MPE/iX operating system and have a good understanding of the environment needed to support HP ALLBASE/4GL.
NOTE You may adversely affect future product support and your ability to use future product enhancements if you make any changes to the operating system environment for HP ALLBASE/4GL.
