Data and Timing
Data Considerations
* Maximum data input record size is 8192 bytes.
* The collating sequence may be altered by the ALTSEQ specs. (See
appendix C for further information concerning data.)
Timing Factors
The time it takes to run a sort depends on the following factors:
* The number of records to be sorted. The fewer the records specified
for sorting, the shorter the sort will take.
* The record size. Larger records take longer to sort.
* The number of specifications you enter. The more specifications you
have, the longer the sort will take.
* The alternating sequence. If you use ALTSEQ, your program will take
longer to run.
