Swap Lines
Purpose
Swaps a line with the next line.
Default Syntax
ESC ~
Description
This command exchanges the current line with the following line.
Procedure
To swap lines:
1. Move the cursor to any column of the line to be swapped with the
next line.
2. Press ESC and the ~ key. HP EDIT swaps the positions of the two
lines.
Example
To swap the following lines:
this line.
This line should precede
1. Move the cursor to any column on the first line as shown.
2. Press ESC and the ~ key. HP EDIT swaps the lines as shown:
This line should precede
this line.
