Forward Character
Purpose
Moves the cursor one or more characters to the right.
Default Syntax
[n] Spacebar
where n is a count that represents the number of characters to the right
the cursor is to move. The default value of n is 1.
Description
This command moves the cursor one or more characters to the right of its
current position. The cursor moves to the right on the current line, but
moves to the next line when:
* The cursor is positioned at the last character of a line and you
press the space bar.
* You specify a value before pressing the space bar that is greater
than the number of characters to the right of the cursor.
Procedures
To move the cursor one character to the right:
1. Press the space bar.
To move the cursor more than one character to the right, either:
1. Type a count representing the number of characters you want the
cursor to move and press Return.
2. Press the space bar. HP EDIT moves the cursor the specified
number of characters.
or
1. Press the space bar repeatedly until the cursor moves to the
desired location. HP EDIT moves the cursor to the right one
character at a time while leaving the text intact.
