Commands
The Silhouette commands available for you to use in managing the program
functions are briefly introduced below. They are listed alphabetically
along with a brief explanation of the function they each perform. For
complete information on these commands refer to Chapter 6.
COMMAND FUNCTION
>BACKUP Releases files so a backup can be performed on the secondary
system.
>CONFIG Displays information about the current configuration file.
>EXIT Terminates execution of the Manager Program (MP).
>HELP Displays information about all Silhouette commands.
>KILL Terminates Silhouette processing.
>RECOVER Builds a database from a backup and the current logfile.
>RELEASE Closes a data communication line.
>RESUME Reactivates duplicating following a backup.
>START Begins processing on the specified configuration file.
>STATUS Displays a status report about the current Silhouette
configuration file.
>STOP Discontinues duplication of the current configuration file.
>SWITCH Changes the secondary system to become the primary system.
>USE Opens a data communication line.
>VERIFY Validates information in the configuration file.
>VERSION Reports on the version of Silhouette software installed on
the system.
