Recovery Process From Secondary Communication Process
The following diagnostic messages are requests to the Recovery Process
(RP) from the Secondary Communication Process (SP).
MESSAGE RP Get SAVE logrec:
ACTIVITY The RP is about to get record 1 from the SAVE file on the
secondary system to determine the logfile restart record number.

MESSAGE RP terminate reqst:
ACTIVITY The RP has received a request to shut down.

MESSAGE RP to open Bases:
ACTIVITY The RP is requested to open the databases on the secondary system.

MESSAGE RP return status:
ACTIVITY The RP is request to return >STATUS information to the CPs on the
main and secondary systems.

MESSAGE RP orderly shutdown:
ACTIVITY The RP is about to start a controlled shutdown of the databases on
the secondary system.

MESSAGE Heartbeat req to RP:
ACTIVITY The RP has received a request to send a heartbeat to the CPs on
the main and secondary systems.

MESSAGE RP RESUME fr backup:
ACTIVITY The RP has received a request to >RESUME and a >BACKUP.

MESSAGE Unused RP request:
ACTIVITY This message is not in use as yet.

MESSAGE BACKUP req. to RP:
ACTIVITY The RP has received a request to look for a backup log record and
then wait for a quiet period before releasing the SAVE, log, and
database files.
