Silhouette Configuration Applications 

Available Silhouette system configurations lend themselves to a variety
of applications.  Silhouette can duplicate databases on either local or
remote systems using LAN/3000 connections.

Figure 1-5 shows four typical Silhouette network configurations.

 *  Example 1 shows one primary system duplicating its database to one
    secondary system.

 *  Example 2 shows a central office duplicating its database to three
    different remote locations.  The remote locations are able to access
    current information from the central location.

 *  Example 3 shows three remote locations duplicating their databases to
    a central location.  The central location is able to access current
    information from all three remote locations.

 *  Example 4 shows two different systems, each duplicating databases to
    the other, providing high availability for each.
