System Requirements
The system hardware and software requirements listed below define the
minimum requirements needed to install and operate Silhouette:
CPUs Minimum two HP 3000s: one for the primary system and one
for the secondary system.
Disc Space Enough to duplicate the TurboIMAGE (U-MIT) database on the
primary system and for non-related processing and database
growth of both sets of data plus the log records.
Memory Enough for non-related processing of the secondary system.
The minimum is 1 MB due to data communications requirements.
I/O Minimum of one (1) ATP or ADCC to attach to the System
Console.
Terminals Minimum of one terminal for the System Console. All
additional event of a primary system failure.

Data Communications Minimum of one line and service (may include LAN/3000).
Operating System Requires one (1) copy of Silhouette per system running on a
version of MPE V/E (U-MIT or later) or a version of MPE XL
1.2 (A.20.00) or later.
Tape Drives Minimum of two: one for the primary system and one for the
secondary system. Tape drives on all systems must be
compatible as to tape format and tape density. For example,
the tape format can be reel-to-reel or
cartridge-to-cartridge.
