Configuring DeskMon The checks that you will want to carry out will vary from machine to machine. The DeskMon Configurator enables a person with HP DeskManager SYSADMIN or DMADMIN (reserved group 16) capability (or logged on as MGR.HPOFFICE,DESKMON) to configure the checks that are carried out. The times at which the checks are performed can also be selected. To aid centralized administration, these configuration changes can either be applied interactively or as a batch file (in a similar way to HP DeskManager directory updates). If remote configuration is not required, it is possible for local Administrators to set up DeskMon so that it cannot be configured remotely.
