Circular Error Reporting
Whenever an output process detects an unexpected error, it produces a
"circular error" packet and writes this to the main IPC file (DMIPC).
When this packet reaches the Report process, an error report is produced.
Circular error messages can also be generated by the Check process when
it encounters an error. For example, if the Check process cannot access
the HP DeskManager database, no HP DeskManager checks can be performed.
The "circular error" message would be similar to:
DESKMON CHECK ERROR
Unable to Access HPDesk Database
No HPDesk Checks performed.
This type of circular error is slightly different from the normal in that
the third line is a further explanation of the error condition and not
the original message that was trying to be delivered.
