Appendix C DeskMon Files

DMCHECK | DESKMON.SYS | Performs all the DeskMon checks with the
| | exception of STATSFIL scanning.
DMCONFIG | DESKMON.SYS | User interface to DeskMon--configures the
| | DeskMon database.
DMCT - DESKMON.SYS - Performs DeskMon clock tick.
DMDBDUMP | DESKMON.SYS | Dumps the DeskMon database in a form usable
| | by the Update Server.
DMDSKOFF | DESKMON.SYS | Stops HP DeskManager checking and releases
| | access to the HP DeskManager database.
DMDSKON | DESKMON.SYS | Requests DMREPORT to enable HP DeskManager
| | checking and reporting.
DMDSRECV | DESKMON.SYS | Created as a slave on a remote system by
| | DMDSSEND to accept and reject message packets
| | across a DS network.
DMDSSEND - DESKMON.SYS - Sends message packets across a DS network.
DMINST - DESKMON.SYS - DeskMon installation process.
DMJCL | DESKMON.SYS | Allows other applications to use the DeskMon
| | reporting process.
DMLOCDEV - DESKMON.SYS - Controls the local printer.
DMLOCRPT | DESKMON.SYS | Reports status and error messages to the

DMLOGSCN - DESKMON.SYS - Checks the STATSFIL for exceptions.
DMNSRECV | DESKMON.SYS | Names a socket DESKMON and creates a virtual
| | circuit when requested by DMNSSEND.
DMNSSEND - DESKMON.SYS - Sends message packets using NS sockets.
DMRECONF | DESKMON.SYS | Used by the Update Server to re-configure the

Job Stream
The DeskMon job stream file is DESKMON MAILJOB.HPOFFICE.
If you want to make use of HP DeskManager's STATS file exception
reporting, you can modify the MAILMAINT2.MAILJOB.HPOFFICE file. See
"Logscan" in Appendix D for more information.
Data Files
All DeskMon data files--the message catalog, the Configurator help files,
the old and new audit files, the UDC file, an example program, and copies
of this manual are located in DESKMON.HPOFFICE.
