HP DeskMon: Administrator's Guide
Time Scheduling
The Time Scheduling menu is where DeskMon is told how often to do its
checking (as often as every 15 minutes) and what kind of checking to do.
The menu also allows checking to be inhibited at certain times; for
example you may wish to turn checking off at night, or at times when no
support is available.
The fields indicate when DeskMon will perform its checking. Each field
can contain a number between 0 and 4, which represents a 15-minute time
slot in a 24-hour day. The meaning of the possible numbers is:
0 Perform no DeskMon checking.
1 Perform all DeskMon checking. This option performs all the
configured checks, including external checks, and only reports when
errors are encountered.
2 Send a status message if all checking is successful. This option is
the same as option 1 with the addition that if no error messages are
encountered, an "ALL OK" message is sent to the Status Report
Category which is specified on the System Details menu.
3 Perform external application checks only (that is it does not perform
Mail Process Status checking, Mail Queue Status checking, Dataset
Status checking, or report HP DeskManager STATSFIL exceptions).
To change the displayed options, type in new values and press MODIFY F6.
