HP DeskManager Intrinsics

Chapter 5 The Gateway Intrinsics

The Gateway Intrinsics allow a user application program to log on to an
HP Desk gateway or external connection and send or receive messages on
behalf of any user associated with that gateway. They are intended
mainly for connections with other mailing systems.

The gateway Intrinsics are:

HPDGateSignon This allows an application to sign on to an HP Desk
gateway. A gateway name (and a password if one is
                   set) must be provided.

HPDGateSend This allows an application to send messages, replies
and acknowledgments to users on the HP Desk network on
behalf of any user associated with the gateway
specified in the HPDGateSignon call. The message may
include any form of standard MPE files except KSAM and
                   privileged files.

HPDGateReceive This allows an application to scroll through messages,
replies or acknowledgments left on the mailnode queues
associated with the signed on gateway, returning
urgent messages, oldest first, followed by normal then
                   deferred messages.
