Open and Frequent Communication is key
- People issues are usually more difficult that software & hardware issues
- There is no such thing as . . . too much communication
- Open status meetings to company wide attendance
- Don’t underestimate the “reason” why we are doing this project
- Identify all personnel to be affected
- Communicate and schedule user training importance
- Document new procedures in advance of the conversion & go-live date
- Utilize traditional communication methods
- Company newsletters, posters, and bulletins
- Published status reports and memorandums
- Utilize non-traditional communication methods
- The Intranet, Stand-alone kiosks, Video demonstrations
- The “Thermometer”, Count-down calendars, Traffic lights
- The Parties - (Pre-game, Half-time, Post-game)
