flow, despite bandwidth demands of less important applications

  • Bandwidth
  • Total end-to-end delay
  • Delay variation (jitter)
  • Error rate
  • Traffic loss

• LAN CoS/QoS requires 100% switched infrastructure

• CoS + over-provisioned bandwidth is enough in most LANs
