The Importance of QA in OpenView

• If no critical messages are observed, does it mean nothing has happen? How can you be sure?

• A frequent tests of message filtering is recommended.

• To test, send messages that will not match any filter.

• Send messages that will match critical messages.

• Place a test entry in a logfile.

• Does the notification system work?
