PPTP “Dialing”

• Currently supported by Windows NT 4.0, Windows 95/98, Windows 2000

• Steps:

  • 1) Client connects to Internet (via ISP or LAN)
  • 2) ‘Dials’ a second DUN connection with IP of remote server
  • 3) RAS authenticates client and connection is established
