NT VPN Setup Overview

• Server Configuration:

  • 1) Install Remote Access Service
  • 2) Install Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol
  • 3) Add “VPN Ports” to RAS Configuration
  • 4) Grant Dial-in Permissions to users

• Client Configuration

  • 1) Install Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol
  • 2) Establish Internet Connection (LAN/dial-up)
  • 3) Configure Dial-Up Networking Connection using VPN Adapter and IP address of remote server
