  • X.500 namespace imbedded in DNS
  • Hierarchical structure with NT domain legacy
  • Does not support X.500 protocols

• Win2000 includes full LDAPv3 implementation

• Not widely deployed, immature

• Microsoft Windows 2000 (NT 5.0) only
