MPEJXQ1 Pre-Release Page
This page contains a pre-release, UNSUPPORTED version of the
new MPEJXQ1 patch. If you choose to download this patch you are using it
at YOUR OWN RISK!!!. This 5.5-based patch contains the following:
- LISTF,access enhancement
- PAUSE-for-job-completion enhancement
- PRINT ;NONUM option for data files that aren't really numbered
- FLABELINFO and FINFO show number of sectors, number of extents, file
createtime and number of accessors
- INPUT command accepts the number of byte to read
- HPLASTSPID and HPSPOOLID CI variables

- COPY to a directory enhancement
- anyparm(), basename(), decimal(), dirname(), fqualify(), fsyntax(),
quote(), xword() evaluator functions
- fixes a byte stream emulator bug which affected tar and lseek()

Please do not use this patch on a production system without first doing
extensive testing!
NOTE: there is a companion patch for the Shell (PX2JXQ2) that is needed
so that the shell recognizes extended filename characters. PXJXQ2 is not
available on jazz.
5.5 Express 3 pre-release version:
- MPEJXQ1 re-linker patch - a compressed mover635
archive (1.3MB) that contains the files needed to create new NL, SL,
START, CATALOG, etc. based on your existing system, but incorperating
the JXQ1 patch.
- relinker tools - mover635 archive that contains
the necessary tools to relink your NL, SL, XL, etc.
- documentation - text format on how to use the
relinker tools.
